Lace

The laces with Cluny in the title are all 95% cotton 5% Nylon.
All other laces are 90% Cotton 10% Nylon.

The nylon content is added to improve the structural integrity and durability of the lace. The nylon content is invisible to the eye and does not affect the handle of the lace - it looks and feels like pure cotton and can be dyed if wished. Laces are sold by the meter. You can use the plus and minus buttons to enter the right amount. You will always be sent a continuous length where possible, although sometimes joins do occur due to the manufacturing process, in the event your order is sent as more than one length, additional length for joining will be added free of charge for you to work around.

Nottingham Lace Care

Nottingham lace is washable up to 40 degrees and ironed at level 1–2. It is not pre-shrunk and may shrink approximately 5–10% when washed separately.

Ribbon Care

Before using your ribbon please iron with a hot iron and with plenty of steam in order to prevent puckering, if lurex or viscose is present in the ribbon, please use a cooler setting. Unless lurex, other effect or viscose threads are used, the ribbon can be machine washed up to 60 degrees. All other ribbons (with lurex, other effect or viscose threads) are washable up to 30 degrees.
