A very pretty gift box of the entire collection of 96 Sajou Retours du Nord embroidery threads along with a large pattern chart of a vintage style colour chart to embroider.

These are a high quality embroidery thread, made in France. They come in 4 separable strands and can be used like any other embroidery floss. They are however slightly finer that DMC's stranded cotton. They are also shinier and slide better and give less' bump to the finished work. The threads are presented on cards with approximately 20 meters of thread on each card.

For ecological reasons Retour du Nord threads are not colour fast, although they can be washed up to 40 degrees- just be careful never to use boiling water or bleach. Making a colour fast thread involves using highly pollutant treatments, which Sajou finds unjustified for embroidery purposes.
