Description and Details

A beautiful Sajou Museum and Heritage Collection cross stitch chart with two designs for two separate embroideries showing scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry.

The chart shown to the top is of Aelfgyva, the only woman shown in the whole of the tapestry. Her identity is shrouded in mystery, but it is thought that her presence in the tapestry is intended as a slur on the Anglo Saxons, perhaps insinuating 'inappropriate' behaviour of Anglo Saxon ladies.

The second chart shows the crowning of King Harold following the death of King Edward.

The size of each motif is 88 x 73 points. If sewn onto 32 count (12 threads per cm) embroidery linen the size of each motif would be 15 x 12.5 cm.

The pattern chart is A3, printed in matt and can be written on should you need to mark any references.

Materials: A3 Chart in a Decorative Sleeve.
