A charming Sajou cross stitch kit to embroider a small decorative pot featuring the Mont St Michel scene from the Bayeux Tapestry.

The scene depicts the iconic silhouette of Mont Saint-Michel as it appears in the tapestry, alongside the dramatic moment when Harold and the Norman soldiers rescued men from the quicksands of the Couèsnon — a feat that Harold is shown performing with his own hands, and which would have burnished his reputation in Norman eyes.

The kit includes:

• A Sajou pattern chart for the Mont St Michel design
• A 14 cm square piece of Sajou sand linen, 32-count
• Laine St Pierre embroidery wool
• A round box with metal base and lid, a cardboard disc for mounting the embroidery, and a band of matching patterned paper to cover the side of the box

The finished embroidered pot measures 4.2 cm high and 7.3 cm in diameter.
