A DMC cross stitch kit to recreate Katsushika Hokusai’s Fine Wind, Clear Morning — universally known as The Red Fuji — one of the most serene and quietly breathtaking prints in his celebrated series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.

Where The Great Wave is all drama and movement, The Red Fuji is stillness itself: the mountain glowing a deep, warm red in the early morning light under a cloudless sky, its flanks dusted with the first green of late summer trees. It is a work of extraordinary economy and calm, and one of Hokusai’s most beloved images. Rendered in Mouliné Spécial threads, the graduated tones of the mountain and sky translate beautifully into the texture of cross stitch.

The finished embroidery measures approximately 35.7 x 23 cm.
