A box of 12 Sajou Fil au Chinois Calais lace making thread cocoons in Assortment No.4 — Pale Tones.

This assortment contains 12 delicate pale colours: White (6100), Light Grey (6108), Blue Grey (6705), Periwinkle (6752), Dark Mauve (6613), Ecru (6308), Resin (6245), Putty (6266), Almond (6830), Sulphur (6322), Coral (6562), and Chestnut (6440).

Made from three strands of twisted mercerised cotton — equivalent to DMC No. 80 — these threads are equally well suited to sewing and embroidery as they are to lace making.

Each cocoon holds approximately 110 metres of thread, wound to pull cleanly from the centre, preventing knotting and wastage.
