A box of 12 Sajou Fil au Chinois Calais lace making thread cocoons in Assortment No.5 — Vivid Variegated Tones.

This assortment contains 12 gloriously named variegated colours: Sugared Almond (6930), Bonbon (6931), Cherry (6933), Fire (6932), Nasturtium (6937), Harlequin (6923), Sunflower (6929), Brighton Rock (6924), Avocado (6935), Cornflower (6934), Café Crème (6939), and Liquorice (6925).

Made from three strands of twisted mercerised cotton — equivalent to DMC No. 80 — these threads are equally well suited to sewing and embroidery as they are to lace making. The variegated threads are particularly lovely for decorative stitching.

Each cocoon holds approximately 110 metres of thread, wound to pull cleanly from the centre, preventing knotting and wastage.
