A charming Sajou cross stitch kit to embroider a small decorative pot inspired by the animal border motifs of the Bayeux Tapestry.
One of the most delightful features of the tapestry is its running border, populated with a menagerie of real and fantastical creatures — lions, birds, stags, griffins, and more — which frame the main narrative throughout its entire length. This pot celebrates those wonderful border inhabitants.
The kit includes:
A Sajou pattern chart for the Bayeux Animals design
A 14 cm square piece of Sajou sand linen, 32-count
Laine St Pierre embroidery wool
A round box with metal base and lid, a cardboard disc for mounting the embroidery, and a band of matching patterned paper to cover the side of the box
The finished embroidered pot measures 4.2 cm high and 7.3 cm in diameter.
