A beautiful Sajou cross stitch kit to embroider a small decorative pot with a design inspired by Queen Marie Antoinette — specifically the intertwined ‘MA’ royal cypher found throughout the Petit Trianon at Versailles, the intimate retreat she made entirely her own.

The motif is worked in cross stitch on pink 32-count linen using Retors du Nord thread, and once complete the embroidered disc is mounted into the lid of the round presentation box. The result is a refined and deeply personal little object — equally lovely as a needle or jewellery box, and a beautiful handmade gift for anyone with a love of French history or decorative needlework.

The finished pot measures 4.2 cm high and 7.3 cm in diameter.
