Description and Details
Fil au Chinois waxed natural linen thread, suitable for bookbinding, jewellery making and other craft work where a firm, strong thread is needed.
The thread is passed through a bath of starch and beeswax, which gives it body and helps it hold its structure. The size, 12/4, refers to its construction: 12 indicates the thickness, and 4 means that it is twisted from four strands.
The thread is approximately 1 mm in diameter. Each 100 g reel holds approximately 300 metres.
