Description and Details

This Suffragette XX jacquard woven ribbon carries the enduring colours of the women’s suffrage movement, purple, white and green, rendered in a woven design that has the textured look of embroidery. At 20 mm (0.79 inches) wide, it is ideal for a range of creative uses where a touch of history and meaning is wanted alongside decorative impact.

The ribbon is sold by the metre in a continuous piece, so you can order exactly the length you need for clean application runs. It is woven on heritage jacquard looms in Germany that have been used since 1898, giving it crisp pattern definition and a stable, tactile handle that suits both historical projects and contemporary craft.

Because of its stripe motif and width, this ribbon is perfect for historical costuming, commemorative accessories, heritage sewing, display pieces, braid on banners or sashes, and statement trims on garments. It also works beautifully for bags, hats, bookmarks and soft furnishings where the motif plays as an intentional design element rather than just a narrow trim.

Materials Details: 85 percent cotton, 10 percent polyester, 5 percent viscose.
