A boxed set of six Sajou antique-style buttons, each decorated with a design of French regional hats — a beautiful collector's piece as well as a genuinely useful haberdashery item.
The buttons are inspired by the magnificent glass-covered miniature buttons of the 18th century, which depicted country landscapes, scenes of daily life, portraits of loved ones, and revolutionary symbols. Sajou's version captures that same spirit with imagery drawn from their own world: details from Toile du Jouy embroideries, traditional costumes from the Vernon thread card series, vintage floral motifs, Art Nouveau ladies, and iconic Sajou images including the tightrope walker, the Eiffel Tower, and a lady from Alsace.
Each button is 2.5cm in diameter and made from metal and acrylic. Machine washable at up to 40° on a delicate spin — turn the garment inside out to protect the buttons from the drum.
