A beautiful jacquard woven ribbon with motifs of dragonflies with metallic thread woven into the design. The jacquard weave of the ribbon adds a three dimensional, almost embroidered effect to the ribbon.
The ribbon measures 40 mm/ 1.6 inches deep .

These ribbons are woven at a few meters per hour on the same jacquard looms in Germany since 1898. Many of the designs are traditional although there are some modern designs to be found as well.
Jacquard ribbon has umpteen uses, from making bookmarks, headbands, cuff bracelets and neck chokers to making pet collars and leads. These ribbons are also a great way of accenting projects adding that special finishing touch to quilts, pillow and cushions. Used on clothing ribbon can be used on cuffs, collars and hems, they make unusual waistbands and button bands and look great sewn in bands on skirts.
