A Sajou French vintage style sewing box with a design of a cat and a dog winding wool on the lid.

The sewing box has 2 trays, the top one has ribbons either side for lifting the tray. There are plenty of delights contained in the box!

Included in the top tray there is a ribbon tape measure with the Sajou name and the measurements woven into the ribbon, a pair of 'Decouvit' scissors,- French made in tempered steel (the scissors are chrome plated and hand mounted- superb quality!) along with a 'Decouvit' seam ripper. There are 3 cocoons of 'Fil au Chinios' polyester sewing thread (each containing approx.150 meters) and a large reel of tacking thread (approx. 350 meters), a block of tailors chalk and a box of 200 extra fine dressmakers pins.

The bottom tray contains a packet of 20 Sajou sewing needles (No. 3- No. 9) and 3 Sajou cards with pretty floral motifs for keeping ribbons or threads tidy.

This is a sweet item, hard to get in the UK. My husband even pointed out it would make a lovely gift for a stitching enthusiast. It's got everything you need to keep handy for sewing emergencies or creativity. I've already put it to use and I am enjoying it, using some of the threads in my slow stitch designs. I adore the thread cocoons, a lovely compact way to have thread. This was a good all rounder set. I hope Penelope gets some of the embroidery sets in if they're still available. The designs are so pretty .
