Sajou Fil au Gant No.120 waxed gloving thread in 32 colours. A fine, strong 2-ply waxed cotton thread for Lunéville embroidery, appliqué, patchwork and hand sewing. 150 metres per spool.

The thread is a 2 ply, waxed, cotton thread, and was used in bygone days for sewing gloves. It is the perfect for applique, tambour beading and patchwork and gives a nice strong thread for all inds of sewing projects. The threads have a beautiful sheen and will not fluff or spoil during use.
Like all Fil au Chinois threads, the Gloving thread is lightly waxed. The thread is passed through a bath of starch and bee's wax before twisting. Because the wax does not sit on the surface of the thread there is no stickiness, the threads have a nice sheen and are resistant to fraying.
Length on each spool: 150 metres.
The spools are classed as small parcels by Royal Mail due to their size.
