Description and Details

A large Sajou Museum & Heritage cross stitch chart celebrating the extraordinary history of Château de Chenonceau — the most visited château in France after Versailles, and one shaped almost entirely by remarkable women.

The chart is rich with detail: portraits of the famous female inhabitants who defined the château's history, repeat motifs drawn from the textiles that adorn its rooms, symbols and flags relating its story, and a silhouette of the architecture itself. The reverse carries full stitching instructions alongside historical notes on each motif.

The motif is 355 x 344 points. Worked on 12 count linen, the finished piece measures approximately 57.5 x 57cm.

Part of Sajou's Museum & Heritage series, which also includes charts and kits for the Bayeux Tapestry, Toile du Jouy, Versailles, Napoleon & Josephine, and Tinctorial Plants.

Materials: A1 chart in a decorative folder. Made in France.
