A beautiful Sajou cross stitch kit to embroider a small decorative pot with a colourful floral Indienne design — inspired by the multicoloured printed fabrics produced at the famous Oberkampf Manufactory in Jouy in the eighteenth century.
The motif is worked in cross stitch over two threads of mustard yellow 32-count linen using two strands of Retors du Nord, making it a wonderfully approachable project for beginners whilst being no less pleasing for more experienced stitchers. Once complete, the embroidered disc is mounted into the lid of the round presentation box to create a finished pot that is as useful as it is decorative — perfect for needles, pins, thimbles or small keepsakes, and a lovely handmade gift.
The finished pot measures 4.2 cm high and 7.3 cm in diameter.

A round box with metal base and lid, cardboard disc for mounting, and a band of matching patterned paper
