Description and Details

This deep white Nottingham Cluny lace trim offers a beautifully detailed woven design in a 12 cm (120 mm) depth, making it an excellent choice for liturgical and ecclesiastical applications, heritage sewing or decorative textile projects. The lace has a classic Cluny pattern that complements traditional ceremonial garments, altar linens, vestments and other church textiles where a substantial lace border is needed.

Cluny lace is known for its distinctive woven motifs with clear definition and a firm texture. Produced on specialised Nottingham looms, this lace stands out for its combination of durability and decorative appeal. The deep 12 cm width means it works well on large trims, panels, sleeves and borders where pattern readability and visual impact matter.

This lace is sold by the metre in a continuous piece, so you can order exactly the length needed for long runs on curtains, altar cloths, chasubles or banners without joins. The white colour makes it suitable for formal settings and liturgical colour schemes, while the pattern’s structure suits both traditional and ceremonial textile design.
